Lake County Forest Preserves is an award-winning, nationally recognized organization that preserves a dynamic and unique system of natural and cultural resources. LCFP develops innovative education, recreation, and cultural opportunities while exercising environmental and fiscal responsibility in Lake County, Illinois.
Since 1989 we have completed over 80 projects with the Lake County Forest Preserves including picnic shelters, shoreline terraces, bridges, marine storage, maintenance facilities, offices, and more. The most extensive project completed was the prairie style Fox River Preserve in North Barrington, which included a welcome pavilion, marina, shelters, boat storage, and visitors’ center.
