PotashCorp is a Fortune 500 company and the world’s largest fertilizer producer. Working in collaboration with DownEast Design, we created PotashCorp’s new 75,000 s.f. national headquarters in a new office building in Northbrook, Illinois. Office and public spaces were luxuriously appointed in the exotic wood species sapele and anegre, multiple species of granite, and Tibetan custom carpets. The experiential design of the elevator lobby and reception space explores the theme of life-giving energy through the use of granite, light, and water as a metaphor for energy emerging from the earth.
