Libertyville is the Best of Both Worlds

Libertyville is the best of both worlds. Its vibrant downtown business district, great schools, and ready access to recreation makes Libertyville a great place to live, work and play. Centrally located in Lake County, between Milwaukee and Chicago, Libertyville has been recognized by many for its successful downtown revitalization.

It has caught the eye of many media outlets, including CNN who listed Libertyville as one of America’s “turn-around” towns. The Chicago Tribune recently reported “Libertyville’s downtown restaurant scene appears to be booming, with crowds spilling out onto the sidewalks on Friday and Saturday nights”. They reported on two hour waits for tables at hot spots like Casa Bonita and Shakou. Open Table diners named Shakou Libertyville as a Diner’s Choice and Top 100 Spots for the second year in a row. In a Chicago Sun Times Libertyville Review article, the town’s businesses, schools, volunteers, and civic leaders are credited with the village’s success. We can’t agree more!

There is no doubt this town is on the right track. In a MainStreet Libertyville video, Bob talks about our work with restauranteurs in designing many of town’s unique restaurants, such as Chili U, Mickey Finn’s, Pizzeria DeVille, 545 North, Milwalky Trace, and Shakou Sushi. He discusses the revitalization of Libertyville’s downtown business district, emphasizing the important role housing has played in supporting Libertyville’s vibrant restaurant and retail scene. According to Bob, Libertyville is “the best of both worlds, an urban environment in a suburban location”.
