Auto Dealership Rebranding
Improving the Customer Car Buying Experience
The 2013 Chicago Auto Show is coming to McCormick Place on February 9th thru the 18th. The show is in its 105th season and it is the largest North American auto show. In total, nearly 1,000 vehicles will be on display along with auto accessories and other auto-related exhibits.
We enjoy attending this exciting show every February to see the new car models and learn about the new technological advances in auto design. Experimental or concept cars are fun to check out because they are a pure design exercise which explores the limits of what a car can be. Pretty amazing stuff!
Closer to home, we work with auto dealerships to update their existing buildings to reflect the evolution of the corporate brand. Facility rebranding occurs about every 5-7 years and may demand everything from new signage to a complete remodeling of the exterior and interior. An emphasis is placed on improving the customer car buying experience in everything from showrooms and refreshment areas to financing offices.
Currently we are working with Marquardt of Barrington where the latest GM brand standards will be implemented. The resulting building will reflect GM’s innovation and quality within the context of the unique community of Barrington. The focus will be on creating an enhanced customer experience that emphasizes excitement, comfort, and convenience.
Porsche Exchange is another dealership that experienced a rebranding based on a change in the Porsche corporate design standards. Located on busy Highway 41 in Highland Park, the former Saab dealership building was remodeled to closely follow the Porsche headquarters’ design standards. The sleek aluminum and glass façade and sophisticated interior set the tone for a customer experience consistent with a brand that is known for speed, German engineering, and distinctive modern design.
Remodeling auto dealerships to conform to the new brand standards improves the car buying experience for everyone. So visit your local auto dealer to experience the difference. Test drive the new models while you’re at it and make plans with the family to attend the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
