Art and Technology at Crayola Experience

Located in the greater Phoenix metro area, Crayola Experience in Chandler offers 20,000 square feet of fun and entertainment. Find the new venue at the Chandler Fashion Center, right near the Food Court. The mall is near Loop 101 Price Freeway and Chandler Boulevard at 3111 W. Chandler Blvd. and the new Crayola Experience is in Suite 2154.

Designing and Building Crayola Experience

Opened in May of 2019, the project was completed well ahead of schedule. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 23, 2019.

The design process was similar to reworking and assembling a kit of parts to fit a unique location – in this case, Chandler Fashion Center.  The design challenge was to make the space flow properly and to fit the desired attractions of a free-standing facility into an existing mall space. Crayola Experience is a unique combination of retail and attraction that required playful design and clever presentation of materials to highlight the Crayola brand and products. As parents, we were excited to be part of the team that helped bring a much-needed space like this to the community where children’s imaginations and play are nurtured and encouraged to grow.

The Chandler location was our first project with Crayola. We collaborated with a team of developers, designers, project managers, and builders, including Bay Laurel Advisors, Weber Group Inc., Reztark Design Studio, and Visual Terrain Inc.
